A Return to Traditional Family Values

Written by

Time for family I’m part of a multi-generational household. My wife of 38 years, Sandra and I own the home. We are joined by our mid-thirties son, Jeff and his wife Jennifer. Then there is Maybelle, our four year old granddaughter, who puts the smile in my day.

We all have our roles in the family. I’m the bread-winner. I work to support and provide for my family. Sandra, retired from a three decade career as a Registered Nurse is our household manager. Maybelle calls her “Nanny” which is pretty well the role she has taken on for the next little while in her retirement. I’m “Papa”. There is no job description that comes with the name. Jeff has recently completed his Masters degree and is looking for employment in his chose field. Jen is working on her science degree.
